Picture him with a gross runny nose, or sitting on the toilet or picking his nose. That will help.

I think a lot of this depends on how your relationship ended. I had a relationship that ended -- but nothing really had gone bad, no new girls, no fights, etc. It is hard to get over something like that. If the guy was a jerk or too pushy or jealous or mean, just get him out of your mind. He is not worthy of you. But, this guy in my life, I dated him 13 years ago. I have now been happily married for 8 yrs, have 2 kids, but I still sometimes will dream about him, or wonder what he is up to. I guess he will just always be a part of me in some way. Sometimes that is how it goes. You have to get over him enough to move on.

You are only lonely and maybe feeling sorry for yourself. Get a hobby, meet new people. This feeling will pass, unless you broke up with him and he would still want a relationship. But are you really missing him or the relationship?
