I've heard that theres a singularity at the centre and that you would get torn in half if you fell into it.

well imagine something that is an infinitessimally smaller than an atom, being able to suck in something the size of a galaxy. This singularity is a sun so large, that it collapses under its own gravity into a mathematical center creating a singularity with literally infinite density and gravity. This is the center of a black hole. The term black is used because we call things visible because of the presence of light, since light, traveling at 186 thousand miles per second, cannot excape its gravitational pull beyond its shchwarzchild radius, it is invisible and black. The actual hole portion is the matter that rotates around it seeping into its center. If u are actually present inside a black hole, (which wont happen, if a black hole floats into our galaxy, our earth will get bombarded with slingshotted asteroids, and our oceans will fry due to the suns increasing proximity) u will spaghettify because of the effect described earlier, time is stretched out and is a lot slower when approaching a singularity.

The point is that no one has ever observed a black hole. No one knows what is at the centre. There may not even be such a thing as a black hole (but there probably is!)

Singularity is a mathematics word to mean "where the maths breaks down" like when you divide something by zero, it goes to infinity and your calculator says "no way, my friend, no way"
The mathematics of black holes goes CRAZY at the centre of black holes. The gravity of a black hole is so strong that not even light can escape from the surface of this very small but very heavy object.
Anything with mass (you for example) would find that the part closest to the black hole would weigh more than the part furthest away. These "differential forces" would pull your feet faster than your head. This would pull you long and thin like spaghetti. In fact, the process is called "spaghettification".
Not so much torn as stretched and ripped.
But. When we say hole we mean "something that once you fall in you cannot get out of" rather than a tear in space. So there isn't an "inside" of a black hole.

A black hole isn´t actually a hole. Theres is an intense compressed object, neutron star where a spoonfull would weigh a few 100 tons. This sort of object has an immense gravitational and magenetic field, so strong that anything nearby gets pulled in and becomes part of the object.

Because no light or energy appears to escape it from a certain viewpoint it looks like a hole.

In fact the crushed material causes a release of enegy which may jetstream out of the N or S pole of the magnetic field.

All this "its so heavy it pokes a hole in space" or "its a worm hole" is unproven fantasy. How can you make a hole in hole (space is a vacuum)

And space time is also a silly fantasy, time as a line or a thing doesn´t exist, things happen and thats that. Black holes have nothing to do with time. Time is a human invention.

Yes it's a singularity - a point of infinite density. Everything inside the event horizon of a black hole is beyond the laws of physics as we know them.

As for being ripped apart, that would happen before you got as far as the event horizon. It has to do with how large the gravity gradient is - eventually the end of you closer to the BH is being pulled so much harder than the other end of you that you're pulled apart.

At the center of a black hole lies the singularity, where matter is crushed to infinite density, the pull of gravity is infinitely strong, and spacetime has infinite curvature. Here it's no longer meaningful to speak of space and time, much less spacetime. Jumbled up at the singularity, space and time cease to exist as we know them.

there is mostlikly something, dont know what but something. an singularity is not notohn g its something snad that just and name for ' i dont got a clue' here is something you might not know thought, every galaxey has a gigantic black hole in the center, its what holds everyhting to gether, its part of the unversal glue. i would assume there is somthign like a super sun that has such a gravitational pull that it pulls light back in to it there fore we cant see it. this holds all the solar systems together just like the sun and the planets.
