Is it hard to tell? hm..if you are Asian, it is not that diffcult.
Or if you are living in Asia, you will be able to tell and distinguish them.
Today Koreans looks young.

I believe it must be in their diet, which for me, in ths country, Philippines, is not really acceptable since I don't like the major staple of fish and rice.Vegetables are not a high priority here, except for chop suey local style, into which they mostly pour MSG, not good for me, but it really seems that Filipinos are healthy.
It's easy to mistake age here, between 25 and 45 people can be very similar in skin and muscle tone.
The one thing that does ruin skin here and age the skin prematurely is the revolting white paste that most city girls plaster on in the hope of being mistaken for a white girl. Brown is beautiful and healthy, and it saddens me to see 20 year old girls with spots all over their faces. This crap they use cannot change skin colour no matter how many times the TV says it can. It makes skin older much faster, and this you CAN see in girls who use it a lot.

Asian women don't start to look their age until they are in their fifties or sixties, in my opinion. I'm not sure why, its not because of diet because its also true for Asians on Western diets, and Western expatriate people on Asian diets don't age any different than if they were eating lasagna everyday. It must be in the genes.

its in our diet and its the weather and the skin colour. white people tend to get wrinkles faster from exposure to the sun and their skin is not very good. asian skin is naturally tanned especially in the sub continent and east asia. the weather there is mostly warm and humid which i think contributes to the natural moisturized state of the skin. in malaysia for instance, its summer all year round and the people there are amongst the most youngest-looking. since the population is mostly muslim, no drinking goes on either (but a lot of smoking!!). the weather is humid and thus everyone's skin is naturally moisturized ^.^

I know one thing for sure is, we put alot more effort on skin care. And if you ever come to Japan, you'll see SO MANY women walking around with visors, gloves, long sleeved shirts, pants, arm covers, sunglasses, and SPF 50,000 sunscreen, all in 100 degree heat. haha.
So I think its the skin care....not the skin color, as someone up there said.

It's not? I've never had trouble approximating an Asian-American's age.
If it is, then it means they've been using botox, had plastic surgery, or have too much make up on.

most specially the middle aged women, you can't distinguish. They use natural moisturizer and herbs on their skin, that is why they are nice and smooth like a baby's behind. I should know, I'm married to one!!
