I know there is no rule which says they have to, but I was wondering if there was an unwritten rule about it. It seems unfair that teams can play another team's callups instead of the regular starters just because their schedule has them playing teams out of the playoffs late in the season. And it seems unsportsman-like for those teams out of contention to not play their best and have a serious outcome on the playoffs.

Yeah, there is an unwritten rule about it. I mean, if you are out of the race, and your ace pitcher has a sore shoulder, you aren't going to make him go out and pitch 8 innings just to be sportsmanlike. But as long as there are no serious injury concerns, you really should play your starters.

entertainment. I would hope all teams strive to entertain their

i became reviewing MLB Channel's preseason possibilities. somewhat lots all the analysts picked the pink Sox in the international sequence. maximum have been against the Colorado Rockies. As pronounced, the injuries quite constrained the pink Sox this season. the main efficient component that harm the pink Sox have been the injuries to their OF. Ellsbury and Cameron have been meant to fasten down the OF protection with their super selection. invoice hall did an honest job of including his bat to the lineup mutually as enjoying the OF yet his protection became not stable.
