what kind of dsl modem do you have? does it have multiple ethernet ports? does it have both usb and ethernet? does it have wireless capability? if it has more than one ethernet port, just plug in the cable and thats it. if is has both usb and ethernet, same thing, but you will need to install the usb drivers on the PC using that connection. If it has wireless, you may have to enable the wireless, and you will need a wireless adaptor for the second pc.

Depends on ur DSL device...if u want to use the computers independent of each other then u will need a netowrking option such has having 2 network cards installed 1 in each pc and u will need a DSL router not a modem.
\if u wish to use the modem then the other computer must access the net though the one which is connected..see home networking for setup.
Where the master pc plays as the gateway device for the other pc and you will still need to have the 2 pc talking to each other using some sort of networking setup.

most modems come with one ethernet, connect one to this
and a usb ,connect this to the other
