Do you always vote for your party or do you vote for the person who will do the best job for every one.

I must admit that while I used to vote the person and not the party, I don't feel that way any longer.

I realize that it's probably wrong, but I am so appalled by so many things the Republicans have done since they came to power in 1994 and are continuing to do today, that I'll probably never vote for a Republican again.

Plus, the Republican Party is owned and operated by the Religious "Right" and those are some scary, weird people.

Also, I never quite got over the fact that all the good people who voted for Nader instead of Gore helped put that astonishing fool Bush The Lesser into the White House. It'll take ten years to undo the damage of the Bush "Presidency" and maybe even longer to undo the damage of the Bush Supreme Court and Federal Court appointees.

No, I never vote a straight party line except in primary elections when you are required to. I think that you should always vote for the person you think will do the best job no matter what party! The most important thing is that you VOTE!!!

Republicans who say the vote person vote party and do not want to admit to that fact. Research this and you will find it to be fact.
Republicans vote and support the agenda of the wealthy, they vote for tax cuts for the wealthy, the pocket book. The next item on the Republicans agenda is ending Social Security, they hate it. This had been a goal for a long time. They don't care in the least if your mother and Father starve and live on the streets. That is also fact.
Democrats support, protect and take money form the working class. Research this and you will find it is fact. If I were a betting man, i would bet $1000 that every republican who voted for Bush would do it again if they could. They don't care in the least what is good for America. The $9 trillion national debt ran up by Bush and the republicans does not ever worry them. The $2 trillion cost of war does not worry them. Republicans never pay for their own mistakes, they want the working class to pay.

I use to vote for the best person, but since their are so many negative political ads that try to assassinate the character of their opponent, I tend to vote for the candidate that has not resorted to a negative campaign, most of the time this is the democratic candidates. In other words tell me why I should vote for you and not why I should not vote for your opponent

I am a Independent so yes I vote for the man(OR WOMEN) who is best for the office. When you vote for the party then you are saying I don't care who wins as long as it is my party.Well your party may have some -people who do not deserve your vote, like Kennedy& Kearry. Both are jokes. They both are the best reasons to vote Independent.I also vote for " pocket book issues" because I feel I can spend my money better then Washington. The Reps. better represent me in that way because I am a company owner. The Bush tax cuts to us weathy Americans has allowed me to grow my company by 61 people last year. Under Clintons tax policy I had to lay off 19 people.so that is why I do not vote party.

I try and do as much research on the person running that I can and vote for the one who seems best.

Vote people, not parties. For instance, I could be persuaded to vote for Joe Lieberman if I lived in Conn. He is an independent and a self proclaimed conservative democrat.

30 years ago it was somewhat safe to vote for a person running for election. These days, politicians no longer have the courage to think and act independently out of fear of retribution from the leadership of their particular political affiliation. Each party now has an agenda that overshadows the needs of their constituents. These days you have to pick which agenda you want to follow and vote accordingly.
