Apparently so, Byrd is still in office he was a member of the KKK, If their was a Republican member that was formally in the KKK, the liberal media would have their mouth stretched right now. But it's OK for them, they are such hypocrites.

They did at one time, but today all the KKKs are in the GOP the shift came during the Civil Right era when the Democratic Leadership decided it was immoral to continue support segregation. Since then the parties have switched personality, the GOP is no longer Progressive and Liberal and Forward thinking, and the Democrats are no longer repressive. Players change, names stay the same.
