I'm looking for guidance and materials that I can use at home to supplement learning. Lessons plans, tips, how to get started with a supplemental learning program, etc. Also, I would appreciate advice about eduacting teachers and gaining thier cooperation. Thank you!

One thing you might try is getting books that are below their reading level. I have a son who is dyslexia. We are currently reading books that are kindergarden level and hes in 3rd grade. He says he feels silly reading books that low but he also understands why we are doing it. I also have him watch a phonics tape and we have work books to help him read and write words correctly. Below I have added a website that might help. I use the computer a lot and find answers to problems I have with his dyslexia. Hopefully some of my advice will help you. Good luck!

cut down on tv, video games, ect, even a normal person's brain gets lazy after a mental diet of that stuff.

Increase classical music, play cards, hike in woods to explore nature, give tools for art and music.

Don't believe in label because that sets a bar too low.
