b and q do some good paints that will probably do this
i've bought some black paint from them that is suitable for bbq's and fire's (i think it can go up to about 350C)
that would probably be a lot hotter than you're exhaust will ever manage

Sperex paint is apparently the stuff to get...I'm gonna be painting my bike engine over winter and will be trying this stuff.
Search on Ebay there is usually some on there. It's about £8 a can.

At a high temperature (black) paint shop, of course. Almost anywhere that sells paint in aerosols

B&Q do it its the same paint as used for spraying the out side of bbq,s.

I have used barbecue paint in the past that worked really well ! And you can get that at any Wal-mart !

put on bike last year and looks new still
