An Apple is an Apple. A Dell is a pc. ALL OTHER computers out there are pc as well. Apples are popular for their ability to handle graphic intense applications. All CGI computer animation is done using an Apple. Apple's don't lock up like a Windows-based pc. Apples cost more. But you get what you pay for. Remember though, alot of software is made for pc and not Apple but if you've got the money go for the apple!

Toshiba, Dell is to high in price and only wants to charge you more for extras that come standard on other computers. I have never owned an Apple just b/c it has always had compatibility issues with everything else that is out on the market.

It matters what the computer is. But, 20% of Dell computers have a high chance of crashing or getting a virus.

Well if you want your computer strictly for basic things go with apple, because there are less viruses out for apple computers.

But if you use a variety of programs, games etc, and are familiar with Windows. Go with dell
