I have a puppy too. She is a mess. I steam clean my carpets at least every two weeks with simple green. In between the steam cleaning, I use Woolite Oxydeep to attack the stains right on and any of the foam carpet sprays that are for animals work great!
Good Luck!!

First I recomment crate training...then I have been told to use white vinager to get the smell out. However the guy that cleans my carpets uses something else and it is really effective as well. Good luck...I feel for you!

Do you have Febreze in the US? I assume you are American because of your spelling of odour.
If you can get this stuff it is great at removing odours in carpets, chesterfields, and curtains. If you can't, just cross the border and visit any grocery store, in the cleaning department. They'll have it their. If they don't for sure Walmart or Canadian Tire.

I recently tried a product sold in major home improvement centers, called "Capture". It worked pretty well.
