it will gain you maybe 5bhp and you get that sporty sucking sound from the engine these kits do introduce more cold air straight to the engine. Have you got an upgraded exhaust too? then you will get the boyracer roar you are probably after.

It looks nice in the engine bay, but only has a marginal effect on performance, these kits are really designed for engines that have been upgraded in other ways so the existing air filter is no longer adequate. For example if you fitted an uprated camshaft.

Be care full might look and sound good but you engine is designed for a certain speed and power you will knack it in time even a wide boar makes the engine under preform Dave

it won't harm your engine in any way, and it'll give you a bit more noise, but, you won't notice any power gains with that alone. You'd do better with a K&N though because you don't have to clean them so often.

no its not a good idea, they sound bloody awful and the claimed extra power wouldnt be noticable under normal road use.
