Our wireless network is great, but I can't make my laptop talk to my printer, which is connected to the desktop. Whenever I use the Network Setup Wizard, I get stopped by a request for my printer's URL. Where do I look to find it?

just choose the default option of 'browse for a printer' and select it off the network instead of choosing to type in the exact url.

bear in mind you obviously would need to 'share' the printer on the desktop machine first or it won't show up anywhere except the mchine it's installed on.

to share the printer, on the desktop machine, open up your printers and right click the printer, choose 'sharing', pick your settings and 'ok' it.

then you do what i mentioned in the first paragraph.

All you need to do is to install the printer in your laptop. But you will need the install disk. I have 4 computers here that use the same wireless printer. I just installed the printer in each of the 4 computers.

Skip that step. If it's connected to another computer on the network, then you should find it in the "Printer/Fax" preference pane of "Contol Panel".
