Actually the weather does change and it is considered seasons.
There really isn't a Spring or Fall in the sense that there is in the rest of the world, because of the lack of vegetation, but there is a time of transition and it is considered four seasons. There is very little sunlight in the winter, and a lot in the summer - and there is that transition in Spring and Summer as well.
The winter is brutal - up to 130 below and very high sustained winds. The summer is more habitable and that is when teams go down there. The seasons would be in line with the Southern Hemisphere seasons - that is winter is July, August - summer is Jan. - Feb..
There are four seasons recognized - like anywhere else in the world - just less evident.
Have you seen the movie "March of the Penguins"? It is very good - lots of insight about Antarctica. So is "Eight Below".

At the South Pole it is better to describe it as day or night. At the very South Pole there is only one day and one night each year. Sun sets March 21, and re-appears Spet 21 (just recently).

In the summer it is relatively warm - but still cold by any standards. But in the winter it gets really cold.

So South Pole has a day, which is summer, and a night, which is winter.

probably light seasonal changes , since the earth is tilted on its axis there are different exposures to the sun depending on the distance and rotation from the sun.
