It very well could be. I was on the pill for 6 years and it took me 2 years to get pregnant. Depending on how old you are, age could be a factor too. I was 30 when I stopped taking the pill. Just be patient.

the birth control pill?? yes it sure can. are your cycles irregular right now? After coming off birth control i immediately started temping and charting, and i really barely ovulated for 15 months.. I finally conceived then.. not saying it will take you that long , its really varies on the person.. but it CAN and be "normal". Since then i've gotten pregnant three more times on the first try :), but i havent gone back on the pill either.

Certainly! If you used the pill within the same year you try to get pregnant. The influence of the pills in inhibiting actions of estrogen would cease after sometime and you can conceive then.

No. There is no evidence that shows long term birth control with infertility. I know how frustrating it is. Take a deep breath and relax. You will become pregnant in time. I promise.

Maybe you are trying to conceive at the wrong time of the month? Check with a doctor to see if everything is alright with you or your husband!

Eight months is nothing in time.... doctors don't start to be "concerned" until after two years. However, your birth control use would have had a profound affect on your health and fertility - ironic, isn't it?

Yes, your body is so used to being on birthcontrol that it's thinking it's still on it. Give it some time. I was on birthcontrol for 6 yrs and it took me about 4 months to get pregnant.

Yes, it could be harder to get pregnant because of having used pills for too long. You should check with your gynecologist and see if you need to go on some kind of treatment to get pregnant.

i heard they can take up to a year to completely leave some people's systems, but i don't know if it's true. if you still have not gotten pregnant at the year mark, you should see a fertility specialist to see if there are any problems.
