The enemy is winning, thier plan was to destroy the US from within, lower thier moral values, get them where there is no American unity or support of its leaders.
Once it becomes ineffective as a Government, the terrorists can win.
They don't have the numbers to fight a direct war but have to destroy the nature of a county

No forward movement? And the General Assembly the U.N. (located in New York, NY) as of the moment has their eyes over Iran and North Korea. I really believe that there is forward momentum on the "War On Terror" but of course periodically you have to wait for your opponent to make his or her move. In doing so you are able to draft a strategy in which you may decide to legitimize the use of force or you may use international political institutions to "talk it out" before using force. So indeed the time required to dispatch the remaining provisions in Bush's plan may exceed his two term limit. People know that the pullout of American troops from Iraq may not happen even this year or next year, due to the implementation of a political system in a country where there is still a high degree of religious segregation. Time is the ultimate factor, the "War On Terror" may take decades to see the completion of such a strategy.

Ask a soldier about no movement forward and he will disagree with you..,you give up on this war and it will become another vietnam. We have to stand behind our beliefs as these people want us dead..,no simple way around it..,and they dont just kill..,they torture. Some of our soldiers were found beheaded with their penis stuffed in their mouths which was placed there to muffle the screams while they continued with the torture. We have to remain strong and united in this fight..,if not it will cost our lives. The simple plan for the war on terror is to win.President Bush said it was going to be a long war and if the politicians would stay out of it and let the soldiers fight a war the way it needs to be fought and not by political correctness..,things would be going much better.God bless our troops and we need to let them know we have not given up on them or the job they are doing..,it hurts their moral when they hear this negativity continuosly.

What do you mean no forward movement? Are you supposed to get a status report every morning or something? Perhaps if we publish it in the news papers you and all the terrorist will know what we are doing.
The Ultimate plan is "they lose, we win" .....very simple really. The President told you in the very beginning that this was going to be a very long war.

Ask the Israelis, they've been waging such a "war" for many a year and they still haven't won it yet, but they don't call it a war either.
Serously, when you start out declaring a war you'd better have the means of winning it. If not, don't declare war. Bush may have thought he had the means to win this one but he was wrong as we have seen.
He's already tried the trick of declaring victory but it didn't impress the foe.
That leaves two alternatives, one is to slog it out to the bitter end and the other is to call the whole thing off. It's obvously the slog he has chosen which is good news for his buddies in the armaments industry and bad news for all the personal freedoms he professes to defend.

1) eliminate the sancuaries. In 2001 there were 8 countries openly training terrorists. Now there are 3 less. definite progress.
2) eliminate the leadership. Mixed results, with about 60% of the top leadership gone.
3) create friendly countries in the islamic sphere. 2 better than in 2001. Not too bad.
4) make sure that people all over the world understand that friends of freedom will be helped, and enemies destroyed.
- I think they are beginning to get the picture

The ultimate plan is to use the "War on Terror" as a pretext for waging a war on humanity.
To those who see progress against terrorism, you are wrong, as there are now more terrorists and more acts of terror than ever, largely due to the mis-guided actions of W and friends.

The ultimate plan is for us the west to win the war against the Muslim terrorist one way or another. If they want live in peace we don't have any problem with that but not the way they are going killing every body in their path, death to all of them. An eye for an eye. We have to be as hard as they are we us. We did it with the Germans and Japanese and we won the war., WHY we could not do it to Muslims, are we scare.I don't think so, but something is happening. What is,.. I don't know but I will like to know.

I agree that there is no such thing as winning the war on "terrorism". That's like saying that we are winning a war on "sexism" or "racism". These are feelings and until all of the oil is gone or is run by the Bush's and their friends the "war" will wage on.

To torrorise the people to the extent that they are prepared to give up their freedom entirely in exchange for ill-pereived security.
Terrorism forwards the agenda of the New World Order, which is to take control of the whole world, and to reduce the people to slavery.
