Mouse not working when i play Battlefield 2, what should/could i do?

When I go to the kit section the mouse and keyboard wouldnt move. But it works perfectly fine before it loads.

Maybe you're not supposed to use the mouse.
Or you can try being patient and wait until all programs are loaded.

I had no idea what I just said.
