I find it ironic that you think "most" Republicans think. I think that "some" Republicans think, just as "some" Democrats think. However, I also think that most Republicans and most Democrats don't think anything that isn't part of parroting the party line. Otherwise, why identify yourself as a Republican or a Democrat.
Aspire to be an Independent, politically. That way, you can take the best ideas of all parties (include Green and Libertarian and others), think about them critically, and make an informed, not an influenced, decision.
I agree with Friar Chuck, sort of. I believe someone should be considered Not Guilty until Proven Guilty. But, after the first few years of life in our world, with the educational system we have, the biases of parents, and the influences of peers and the media, there are very few "Innocents" left in the world.

Well I forgot my political party.. I think its Green or something.. and I vote for Ralph Nader every year because hes the only one that doesn't spend much time talking **** about the other people lol. Anyway, who cares about political party? OH NO YOU'RE A DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN SO YOU IMMEDIANTLY BECOME A DIFFERENT PERSON!! NOOOO.... well last time I checked its not gonna change you. And republicans defending pedophiles? Well innocent untill proven guilty, unless you're an illegal immigrant... then its the other way around in your country :)

I find it funny that you believe that all Republicans might be defensive of Foley, when it's clear that most Republicans & Conservatives are staunchly against that sort of disgusting behavior.
If he's guilty (and everyone is innocent until proven guilty, right Mr Defender of the Common Man?) then he will have to pay the penalty like anyone else.
PS: Do you remember Alger Hiss? Born in Baltimore, Harvard educated, State Department employee, Democrat, Soviet Spy, working for and protected by the highest levels of the government from 1933 to 1949, finally charged & convicted only when incontrovertable evidence of his guilt was produced? Just checking, so many Democrats have conveniently forgotten about him...

I find it funny that when there is a scandal among the Republicans, people like you come out and accuse them of all being the same.
So on that token:
All Muslims must be terrorists, since it has been Muslims who have been attacking us since 1979.
All Germans are Nazis and supported the Nazis, because that's where it all started.
All Democrats are egotistical pigs who get accused of sexual harassment and rape, like Slick Willy Clinton.
All Christians bomb abortion clinics.
All liberals are draft-dodgers.
All Southerners are racists, and support racism, including of course the KKK.
All teachers are pedophiles (remember Mary Kay LeTourneau?), and anyone who still supports teachers must be a pedophile as well.
All soldiers are baby-killers (which means, of course, that my father was and my husband is), and anyone who supports them must be baby-killers as well.
Shall I continue? It is childish to classify ALL by the actions of a FEW. It's called "stereotyping."
If Foley is in fact guilty, I don't know of a single Republican who would still support him.
However, I know plenty of Democrats who still support Clinton, and Ted Kennedy, and the like. Quit being so hypocritical.

I doubt most Republicans would defend Foley, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if most Republicans would be much more actively upset (rather than mildly passively upset) about a Democratic pedophile.

Any person that defends a pedophile is sick! Republican or Democrat! And any one who puts all Republicans in the same group as pedophile defenders is just as sick. But how did you feel about Bill Clinton and his antics. Defended him then and now did you not!

IF he is guilty, and its not some Dan Rather CBS news similiar forgery, then no, we don't support Pedophiles. But before we string him up, I would like to know for sure that these emails are not fake.

Don't fret for Foley. After he comes out of re-hab (has to alcohol here somewhere. Can't have an old gay guy hitting on kids you know. "It was the booze") he will have the gig at Fox News when they launch their Family Values segment. Foley will be Fox "expert" commentator!

I have followed this story on several medias. I have yet to hear any rep. defend that sicko. lets be honest and fair. the fact is they all told him to get out of office.
