In std bio classes there are a few polysaccharides that are usually discussed:
cellulose- cell wall of plants (roughage, fiber for us, many uses like HEMP has!!!)
glycogen (animal starch we animals store in liver-muscle, thus carb reserve)
amylase (plant starch) a carb resource for life on earth
inulin (polymer of fructose) alternative carb
