I would have to say that the Beatles were the best band to come out of Liverpool, then The Zutons!
I saw Echo and the Bunnymen at an R.E.M concert in Milton Keynes in 1996 (I was 12!) and they were fantastic, I've been a BIG fan ever since, but still you gotta give it to the Beatles and The Zutons!

Your having a laugh ! What about The Zutons, Cast, The La's, The Waterboys, Then you have the classic bands The Beatles, Jerry and The Pacemakers etc, etc. Echo and The Bunnymen were 3 hit wonders !
Cool, you wouldn't know cool if a man in a cool hat wearing a cool jacket with cool tattooed on his head came up to you and gave you a cool slap !

Echo and the Bunnymen are the best thing to come out of Liverpool.

Though, as previously suggested, The Waterboys are a close second. Screw the beatles fans... whilst they were needed at the time, after about 5 of their songs they just babble on about nothing.

Sorry, but The Beatles were the greatest band to come out of Liverpool, Britain - in fact any country.

The Beatles are the 'coolest' band to ever come from Liverpool.

I used to love them in the 80's and I saw them live a couple of times. Ian McCulloch was quite cute back then with his floppy fringe but wouldn't say they were the coolest.

What about that little known group The Beatles?

Probably, I saw them a few times in the 80's in Liverpool, and they were gobsmackingly good.
