i am in grade eight right now, and for high sholl i want to attend this high school across the street. it is Catholic, ad even though it is not the best, it is still pretty good, and mostof my friends from grade school will go there. however, my parents want to send me to TWO private schools for high school, appleby college in oakville for grades 11 and 12, and a cheaper, alll-girl private school for grades 9 and 10. i do NOT want to go to a private school, especially an all-girl school! i want to staywith my friends at the catholic school across my street! how can i make them understand?

When my little sis was ready to choose her own school this is what we did.
First gather some of the school information fromt he school you want. When you come to them treat it almost like a buisness meeting and just maturly tell them that these are the reasons that you would rather go to the catholic school. But remember it also helps if you are willing to go to the open houses and such for the schools they want you to go to so you look open to their ideas.
The main thing really is treat them as you want them to treat you. Don't whine and cry that just makes you look like a kid and a kid can't make their own decisions.
Good Luck
