I play rugby and while I was playing my foot got stuck underneath another players armpit. My knee was twisted a lot further than it has been before. I had to be carried off the field but I can now walk on it. It hurts a lot on the front inside and also when I extend my leg. After I walk on it a while the pain disappears but if I sit for a while and don't use it then I have trouble walking again. When I touch it where the pain is it feels like a bad bruise. I'm just wondering if this sounds like something may be torn or if it's ust twisted really bad and will heal on its own.

If the injury happened recently, it is possible that it can get better on its own. On the other hand, since you are involved in a sport where re-injury is very possible, I would suggest you have your regular doctor refer you to someone who specializes in sports injuries.

Seeing that basketball season is across the nook you must pass to an orthopedic professional to be evaluated. Follow guidelines given to you and you will be competent to play this 12 months.

This is something you need to see a medical doctor for, not be asking questions of NON-professionals.

We can only give opionion, not medical advice.
