You might want to try washing the walls down with Trisodiumphosphate. It's a cleaner used to prep a wall before painting and a general cleaner .It's available at Home Depot Lowes Wall Mart Target and any hardware store in the paint department...Good Luck !

It depends somewhat on the paint and how much abuse it will take from solvents and/or scrubbing. The first thing I would use would be denatured alcohol and a slight (very slight) amount of scrubbing/rubbing. Alcohol is a great solvent solvent. If the alcohol doesn't work, I would step it up to acetone (nail polish remover.) Despite the fact that women use it on their fingers, make sure you wear gloves.

Try 409. And if you have flat paint, take a day and put a coat of semi-gloss (low gloss) on your painted surfaces, and regular cleaning will wipe anything right off. We have semi-gloss throughout our house for that reason. And it looks great.

There is this stuff called Mean Green... You can get it at General Dollar Store... Family Dollar Store... In the spring and summmer they can't keep this stuff on the shelf... Why WalMart Doesn't carry it I don't know... I used it to clean everything from the vinyl siding on my house to walls, floors, outdoor furniture, Lil'Tike toys etc... I can't live with out it...

you could try "polishing" the stains with a smooth glass pebble or marble. Do a test spot before you go crazy tho!!!
I know this works on wood.
