No you cannot. If you do, you are having an abortion. The definition of a period is the lining of the uterus coming off. If you are pregnant, that means the cervix is open, the lining of the uterus which is protecting your baby is coming out. This is very bad. Now, some spotting is normal. But you must get that checked by your physician, especially if it becomes very heavy, like a period.

Well sort of. Most people call it their periods, but as a period is your uterus completely shedding, it isn't possible to remain pregnant if you get your period. However, women do get spotting or some light bleeding, which can be normal or could be a bad sign.

Most woman the period stops but in some cases it doesn't. I had a light period for the first five months and still had a healthy baby boy.
