why did andrew jackson and the government even want to move the indians in the first place? what was so 'practical' about that? what was their reasoning? help?

Americans wnated land but the land they wanted was full of Indians. Therfore the government issued indian removal act which made indians go west . Jackson did this to have more land and create more states and this lloks good for a president. practical thing was America got bigger more land, and more people, developed areas and everything. Their reasoning is more land more property so that more people can live there. You the English were colonists and Americans did the same by going wesatern. It is manifest destiny I believe.

well they really wanted the land and therefore, they made this concept called "manifest destiny" to brainwash the ppl as well. but the main reason that they awnted them gone is becuz the governmet sensed lots of profit in the indian's land
