slave labor was involved as well as logs, levers,ropes, pullers and fulcrums. the builders were quite intelligent using a great deal of mathematics to accomplish the construction of one of the seven wonders of the world.

I remember seeing a show on either the History or Discovery channel that said they did it using a pulley system.

There was even a person who made a miniature demo of the pulley for the show.
