Pretty grim, for a country that has the highest per capita income in Europe to have a health service that estonia would be ashamed of (no offence meant to estonians) is a scandal. This has been hotly debated in the Irish press over the last few months with numerous cases of people dying on trolleys or through incompetance.

There has been so much bad press about them over the past few years, and the sad thing is that it isn't the staff, it's the lack of staff and the overcrowding of patients. So many hospitals were closed down that shouldn't have been.

They are usually pretty good, but it depends where. Like in England, major university towns (Cork, Dublin, Belfast) will have the best skillset. Belfast is the best place to be treated if you suffer burns, for example!
