I have a 95 F-150 with a 302 that is shot.........can I replace the motor with a 351? will it bolt up to the a40d transmission? The 351 has a 302 computer in it and a 302 intake on it already.

You can replace your blown 302 with a 351. You will need to replace the engine mount INSERTS and also the EEC computer. Make sure that you use the right computer ( call your local dealer and give them the VIN number from the truck that had the 351, if you can get it or the VIN off the engine). You will also need to check the intake ports to make sure they match. As far as the A40D tranny it will bolt up just fine as long as you have the flywheel for an automatic.

It should work just fine. You might need to replace the engine mounts though.

You might have to change the flywheel to make it work properly depending on the size of your flywheel now.
