how is issues of diversity considered within alcoholics group?

I haven't been in such a group, but I can surmise that given they work on asking for forgiveness, recognizing their own failings, it would include being tolerant of differences in people. They draw support from each other and see each other as the alcoholic, rather than the black, white, brown or other color person.
