Where is a good and fun place to go on vacation in November? My husband and I were wanting to take our 3 year old. We were thinking about Colorado, but not sure where? Any advice

I lived in Colorado for many years... and actually wound up moving there because of experiences I had as a child.

I don' t know if you ski-- but if you do it makes all the difference. If you do-- a great place to visit is the Roaring Fork Valley-- which holds Aspen, Snowmass, and Glenwood Springs. Aspen is just a great little town--it is expensive, but deals can be found-- it is beautiful at that time of the year. I learned to ski at snowmass, at about three years old, and Snowmass has excellent programs that teach children how to ski-- it is fun for the parents too-- they often watch thier little kid on skis, with balloons attached to his or her rear as they head down a little hill.. very fun for both sides

Glenwood Springs has hot springs which are great to relax in..

Vail is a ski town, I don't know if you would want to head there just for a destination...

Breckenridge is an old town like Aspen, but far less expensive and more a local place; outside of copper mountain I would say most locals go to Breckenridge to ski and hang out in the mts.

I wil say that, if you do not ski, I would re consider. The mountains are beautiful-- but you can't really enjoy them, in my opinion in the winter. There is limited hiking, camping, etc. You could snowshoe, but that might be hard with a three year old.

I would suggest out of left field Taos, New Mexico, same charm of the mountains, with a lot more for someone who does not ski to do...

and if you do ski, scratch my last suggestion, you will have a blast!

plan the vacation for yourselves, a 3 year old is way to young to really enjoy or understand where you will be or doing. age 5 or 6 would be a good age for Disney
