Because when people say beautiful things in person they sometimes sound tacky, where as the Internet makes people use the beauty of words to touch a stranger without fear of looking stupid.

I consider myself a very smart person but I have always had an easier time articulating my thoughts through writing. I have a bit of social anxiety and lately speaking in public makes me especially nervous.
I have all of these great epiphanies running around in my head at all times but when I'm put on the spot for an answer in person I turn into a cross between a valley girl and Steve Irwin. When I get too excited about a subject I start using a lot of words like, "like" and "Oh My Gawd!" and "pffft" instead of forming an intelligent sentence. Afterwords my hindsight kicks in and I feel like a complete dork. :)

Because life is like a river. Flowing in and out of the hills not knowing which way it will turn next. Then the rivers journey continues out to sea, spreading out with all the other rivers. Just like humans making friends.

Because you don't have to look them in the eye to say what you mean, the Internet is like a blanket to comfort you so that you feel safer and less embarrassed in saying what you want to say to whom you are talking to, whether it is a lover or a friend.

Because they have time to think about what they want to say. It's not like in real life when you open your mouth and all this rubbish comes out and you can't go back and 'edit' it!
