Gravity keeps us near the Sun, but in a vaccuum such as Space with no gravity things simply float.

Earth is not suspended........ Its just orbiting the sun, and our sun is orbiting the black hole at the center of the solar system, and we are flying through the vacuum of space at who knows what speed
