Sure. I slip it into a convo every once in a while..
example: "We can go get some beer or whatever."

I use it a lot too, especially when someone says something I don't believe. I can't really think of many other ways that I use it, but whatever.

I do, and it's funny cuz I live in Italy and use it on the Italians ALL THE TIME. I haven't found the proper Italian word for when I need to blow someone off :)
Now some of my students are saying it.

I use it when I don't care, when I loose an argument, when someone says something rude that I don't care to pay attention to, when I'm angry etc. I also use the phrase "it's whatever" like whatever happens happens, I don't care.

I use it a lot. I picked it up off an old comedy series called, "All in the Family." For me it works to say , 'I not at all interested in being corrected or having something explained to me, so just shut up.'

I use it every time I read a stupid question, and I don't feel like answering, but I want two points, I just write: "whatever"...

I used to use it a lot but not so much now. My preteen daughters use it and it sounds kind of rude and disrespectful when they use it. So I stopped.
