salam,

first of all remember to backup everything you may need later from the hard disk.

then if you want to reinstall windows 2000, xp and 2003, let the system be booted by install cd-rom. it will ask you to choose the partition you want to install the windows. here you have options to delete, create and format partitions, that you may choose to first delete the partition you want to clear, and then format (not of course quick format) it.

First backup your valuable data on some safe partition like D,E or F drive. Then use a bootable CD say win XP and follow the instructions by formating drive C. Your entire drive C will be cleaned and new windows will be loaded. Now if you want to clean other drives simply shift data to drive C and format other drives one by one by right clicking on them. Your entire computer will be cleaned. No viruses, computer will go fast and more space will be available for storage as unwanted data will be deleted.

go to microsoft.com and buy a sanitation disk
