If heroine was not addictive and the 'good' effects were instantaneous, without any come-down or bad effects, would you do it just once to see what it was like?
If you were injecting it, lets say there would be no tissue damage, you'd inject it correctly, and the needle would be clean.
None of the above is true, I know, but if it suddenly was, would you be tempted?

If all of the above were true, IE: not addictive, no bad come down, no dirty needle etc, I think any person that has tried pills, Ecstasy or any of those would also try it. I have not tried anything like that (and I am too old now), but can understand how people get caught. Life for the young is not as uncomplicated as it used to be for my friends and me. Peer pressure is as dangerous as heroine itself

I have tried it once, 16 years ago. I smoked it, did not inject it. I wanted to do it because I was very curious and I told myself to do it once and never again. So I did.
You can only experiment with such an addictive drug if you are VERY sure of yourself that it wil stay with that one time experience. Many people have tried that, but ended up addicted.
I would not ever recommend anyone to experiment with it.
The reason I did it was out of curiousity. I have experimented with all kinds of drugs, but only occasionally. Abusing drugs can f*ck up your whole life, and that of those around you.
So, if you are into experiments, just be carefull and know the drugs and yourself well enough to know what you are doing.

Absolutely no way ever would I try heroin, don't care what effects it would have on you even if it was supposed to be good for you, I value the life I have and don't need anything from drugs to make it any different.

I would try, because i believe to understand something you have to experience it. I would be curious to see what it would be like to walk in someone else's shoes. Saying that if you only got the good effects and no danger of addiction etc it defeats the object of the question does it not?

Yes. According to the drug advert film Trainspotting which invited us to think of the best experience you have ever had and magnify it a 1000 times, yes I would.

Would it come with a guarantee that it didn't come out of some poor Jamaican's behind? Or that it wasn't sold by some terrorist outfit?
