After a Birthday dinner the other night, I found that my taper candles had dripped down on my good placemats. They are a woven cotton and a light pink. The candle wax is bright red.

Put a old bath towel over the placements and then with your
iron which has been heated I'd gentlely leave in on the
waxy area until it has melted and than let the old
bath towel soak up the wax. Try not to more the
iron to much back and forth with to much force. Don't
leave it on to long or it may burn. Once the wax is off
use your spray and wash and toss it in the laundry to
really get it clean.

Place in freezer, leave overnight, wax will chip off the next morning.

Then, you can iron the rest of the wax with newsprint paper on top. It will soak up the wax.

Then you can treat the stain in the placemats with oxyclean or whatever you use.

Good luck
