I really dig music and I always believed that a movie must have music to really get into it and keep you drawn in....well I wanna know what do you think the best movie theme song of all time?

The Main Title theme for "Superman" (1978) (Also, I think, the most inspired opening credits sequence) - by John Williams. So untouchable that Bryan Singer retained it for "Superman Returns".
I also like the theme from "The Warriors" by Barry DeVorzon. Sets the ominous mood from the gate!
But I think John Williams is the master as far as film composers goes.

Can't pick one

1- Nanananna! Waah Wahh Wahh

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly--you know it without ever opening your eyes

2- Star Wars theme (episodes IV, V, VI)

3-Raiders of the Lost Ark--dun da dun dun, dun da da

4-Jaws--can raise the hairs on the back of your neck with 4 notes

5- Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?--the somber, classical guitar piece at the beginning tells you everything you need to know about George and Martha--somber, poignant, damaged, tragic

6- The Sting--The Entertainer nails the feel of the movie--fun naughtiness

7-Casablanca--As Time Goes By--it pulls at the heart even before you know the story between Rick and Ilsa

Anything from John Williams, he's a genius. Well, anyway it depends of your taste. If you liked the movie with a specific song that really touched you. One of my favorite themes is The Godfather's theme.
