...for no particular reason??!! I woke up this morning w/ the most annoying song going through my noggin over & over, & it's making me buggy. LOL!! I didn't hear it anywhere---it was just there when I woke up.
How do you get rid of it??!!

It'd be different if it was a song I like, or something I heard on TV or radio...but it's a song that really has no reason for being within a 12 mile radius of my head, let alone going right through it over & over!! Especially from the moment I open my eyes. Maybe it's a good thing I don't remember what I was dreaming last night---it must have been bad to wake up w/ RuPaul haunting me the rest of the day...

I get that with adverts on the radio. Especially the REALLY gormless ones. And they're not even proper songs, fer cryin' out loud!
I don't think there is a cure.
Though I'll be paying attention to other answers in the hope of discovering something useful...

It happens to me all the time! Get to your nearest source of music (Radio, CD player, MP3 player) and play one of your favorite songs really LOUD! Then you'll have your fave song in your head instead of that annoying one! Works every time!

Yes ~ there was a lottery commercial a few years ago, and there was a bathtub scene with some guy singing "Soapy, soapy, soap ~ soapy, soapy, soap ~ you are slippery to meee" ~ I never got rid of it
