Check the fuel filter.

Remove the carburetor and fuel tank assembly. The carburetor will unbolt from the tank. At the bottom of the plastic tube you will see a very fine grating which acts as the fuel filter. It is very easily clogged. Clean it off.

Check the condition of the fuel tank. If there is dirt or rust inside the filter will clog again very quickly.

I had a similar problem. But I would keep pressing the primer bulb to feed gas until it was warmed up enough to stay running. After I replaced a muffler that had a hole in it I didn't have that problem again.
