You might enjoy Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. The Road of the Dead by Kevin Brooks would be another good book you might enjoy. And although not to my own liking, you might enjoy The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs by Jack Gantos.

If you want a challenge...a large book...I have a few suggestions, all by Stephen King, of course:
1. The Stand
2. IT
3. The Gunslinger Series: The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, WasteLands, Wizards and Glass, Song of Susannah (theres a couple more in there, but I cant remember them right off hand)

I just read a book and was very attached and i'm basically your age. Try Small Steps by Louis Sachar. It's like a squel to Holes except about different characters. Really good book. I like it more than the first one.
