Hell No! They should be castrated and kept in prison for life! I don't want them around me or my kids.

It depends on their history. First-time offenders have only about a 5% rate of recidivism (repeat offenses). Usually such offenders are relatively young (teens, early 20s) and often are 'acting out' as a result of having been molested themselves. The shock of being arrested, incarcerated, and forced to register as a sex offender every year is usually enough to bring them around, and most never go down that path again.
There are also "offenders" in name only, usually guys who turn 18 but have a girlfriend who is under 18 (and therefor a minor, even if only by a few days) and are caught having sex with them. It's difficult to have society view you as a normal teen one day, and the next day view you as a rapist for doing the exact same thing you did the day before, all because you had a birthday. Angry parents have been known to insist on statuatory rape charges (especially if they strongly disapprove of the boyfriend) and if convicted these guys end up being labeled as 'sex offenders' for life, even though they're absolutely no risk to the community.
However, those remaining 5% of convicted child molesters & rapists are indeed a problem, and that's where the Sex Offender Registry and concerned parents should be focusing their attention. Repeat offenders very rarely change their habits. Those who re-offend should be an given appropriate prison sentence for their second offense, and a longer term, up to life in prison, for a third offense. Such offenders should NOT be released around children.
Such a release program is difficult to impliment since children are everywhere, but I think a fenced & gated low-security prison 'city' for repeat offenders would be a viable option; cheaper than a formal prison camp and still keeping these offenders under control. A low-security system could be managed with few guards & officers, far cheaper than a regular prison but much more controlled than simply releasing them into an unaware community.

Thats tough to answer.
I am against these perverts being released in society again.
However: Judge passes a sentence, they do the time and by law has paid their debt to society (the system)
Also some are innocent of the deed they were convicted of>
So keeping any convicted person "locked up" forever is also immoral.
Laws need to be stiffen-
One conviction you do the punishment but
Second conviction Mandatory life "unless mitigating" reasons exist.
If violent crime was involved on first offense-lock em up and throw away the key!
Rehabilitation is truly a JOKE.
Monitored 24 hours a day if released back into the world.

First, the term "sex offense" is very broad, covering everything from child molestation to (in some jurisdictions) two fifteen-year-olds getting it on in the backseat of a car. So if you're worried about sex offenders in your area, you should remember that some of them may have been so labelled for nothing worse than having sex with someone who was, say, a week away from their sixteenth birthday.
Second, if you're not going to release them, then are you proposing indefinite punishment for finite crimes? And for just this class of offenses, or for all offenses?
Third, do you think that if they're locked up, that will make everybody safe? That seems highly unlikely, and if that's your goal then I suggest it's unrealistic.

There is not a cure for child molesters. And why waste the money to keep them locked up? Shoot them in the back of the head and be done with it. That way they can't wreck any more lives of young people who haven't even had a childhood yet.

Sex offenders should never be releasesd from jail because they will never change. I do not care what they say because it is hard to leave your child around people like that.
Now a days, they is so much of them surrounding people you do not know who to trust. The once that are found should not be released because it makes it more complicating.
My children does not go anywhere without me because I am not going to take that chance and risks my children getting attacked.

I believe that there are certain choices, that if you choose wrong, that was your only chance.
Killing for pleasure or gain……….You can not control yourself or your emotion well enough to be with other humans.
Rape………Again no control and I don’t think you need to be around people.
Child Molestation………Not only do you not have control of your impulses, you prey on the very weakest and defenseless of human beings.
Crimes like these that take away the free will of others are one chance choices in my opinion. Not that you can’t be rehabilitated (although I doubt it) but you failed in life. You failed to make good enough decisions for me to ever feel you deserve to be allowed around civilized human beings.

Yes, especially those who molest anyone dear to me. why would I want them in a prison where they are protected from me/society?
They should carry a mark of shame, like a brand on the face or a tattoo that identifies them as molesters, that way society won't have to spend money feeding these shitbirds.

I don't think they should be released. I have checked the sex offender registry in every place I've lived and they are everywhere. No one does it once. It's an addiction.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!
They should be SHOT! Period.
We kill an animal that 'eats' humans, so that the problem doesn't keep going. Same should be true for these B*A*S*T*A*R*D*S!!! Within minutes of having positive proof a person is a child molester, they should be executed, and that execution publicized as a warning to others.
