Toyota is it. The most sold car in the history of the world Toyota Corolla, it has even out sold the VW Bug (Beetle). The most sold car in US, Toyota Camry.

OK so enough with the facts, Toyotas have a tendency of being slightly expensive but, everything else about them is good. Between my family and myself we have just about owned most of the vehicles offered by the maker. None of them ever had any problems. I would highly recommend Toyota to anyone who wants to buy a car. They have such a big line up now that, there is a car/truck/SUV for every kind of family. Also keep it mind that Lexus and Scion are also made by Toyota and carry the Toyota Quality.

I wish Toyota was paying me to do this ;)

Mercedes Benz C or E class. An S class if you can afford it.
If thats out of your reach by a Toyota, Honda or a Lexus or Nissan Altima 4 cylinder model
Mazda late models are also good. And do not overlook GM midsize or Ford midsize cars.

I have a Volvo V70T5..,,wife a BMW 650Ci ( 2 months old ) both great cars but very £££$$$....so if this is your first car look for a nice Volvo 460SEC .... cheep ( £1000 to 1500 ) .... and will last a lot longer than Ford / Vauxhall rubbish..

Subaru. Nissan, Toyota - not American - they paid their CEO to much and cheated on their end product.
