Waking Up Beside You-Stabbing Westward

It's an encredible, but not very well known song, check out the first few lyrics. Give it a listen, and believe me, if you've ever loved and lost, you'll understand. It's a beautiful song...

I've been so alone for so long
Forgotten by the world, forgotten to myself
Your effervescent eyes have awakened me
And brushed the dust away, but I knew you'd never stay
So I memorized the color of your eyes as I lost myself inside you
And I memorized the way our legs entwined as I drifted off beside you
I miss, God I miss
Waking up beside you

Charlie Chaplin made the score for his movie The Kid in 1921. The song that plays when the Tramp gets his son taken away always makes me want to cry.

' I can't tell you why' by the Eagles. An ex of mine had a whole album full of depressing songs by Bruce Spiringsteen called 'Nebraska' - shudder, shudder!!! I felt like I'd watched 4 back-to-back 'Eastenders' omnibus editions, some one had knicked my cat ,and that I was smelly and had no friends - all at the same time!!!!! I had to listen to tonnes of Poison to cheer myself up!!!
