I think you might be creating a fire hazard. Better to use 2 surge cords than to have one that is just a regular cord. Best would be to install another outlet.

too many cords cause power to dwindle towards the end where the appliance will be plugged into you wont have enough power to adequately run your stuff.
Example too many strings of xmas lights together the end lights are very dim
