Tell your mom that you just want some lip gloss, that is a good start. Other girls wear it and you would feel more confident if you had some sheer, pretty lip gloss. Once she is comfortable with that, and you are getting older, ask for more items, like blush or mascara. Good Luck!

Tell ur mom that u have been wanting to wear makeup for a while but didnt know how to tell her. Tell her the reason you want to wear makeup(all your friends are; to cover flaws, etc.) Ask her to take you to buy some if she says yes and make sure you buy a kind that works for YOU!!! good luck.

I think 13 is too young for make-up..... on special occasions, maybe a little blush and lip shimmer, but a young gurl wearing make-up makes her look older, and can bring the wrong kind of attention..... you only get young skin once, once you start using make-up you will see ur skin change, and not always for the better..... if you do start, remember, NEVER share ur make-up with anyone, and avoid blowing onto any of ur brushes or applicators. I would say wait until ur a little older. My daughter is 15 and outside of special occasions, she only wears a light lip shimmer, and nail polish. Enjoy what you have!! ;-)

Myra gave some good advice, I think. Step by step you go :) Wearing too much make-up from an early age is no good anyway. Some lip gloss and a little mascara to enhance your natural beauty is a good start.

well tell her that u would like to wear make-up. i m sure she won't mind. i use to wear my mom's make-up for fun at 13. since ur 13 start with a lip gloss and an eyeliner. then u can build up ur make-up collection from that like mascara, eyeshadow and blush.

Just try putting on a little bit of eyeliner and some lip gloss and see what she says. If she says you can't wear makeup, ask her what age she started. She was probably your age too!

Your relationship with your mom revolved completely around communication. If you can't communicate properly, wear make up ans see if she says anything. If and you mom have a good relationship, ask he blunty, "Mom, am I allowed to wear make up?" and it her discussion on whether you can or cannot. It's a simple as that. By the way, I'm twelve and half and can't wear make-up. Good luck!!!!

mom's only want the best for their kids. ask her if she wears makeup to show you how to apply it, and have a girls nite with your mom. if you wear your makeup so it's looks natural and enhances it will make quite a difference.

Honestly, I've been wearing make-up since I was 12 and even my mom asks me how to put on make-up. Especially with eyeliner, that's my favorite! About telling your mom... you may just have to be straight with her. Tell her like it is. She may even except it, you never know, she may be happy.

This is what you should tell her, "Mom I'm thirteen and I think I should be able to wear make up". Everything will go smoothly after that. Good Luck:-)
