I'm really good at accepting Praise. So give me 10 points to show me how much you appreciate me.

A little bit of both in a sense that:
(a) Feeling undeserving to receive such a praise when deep inside me I know I didn't do something good on purpose, or somebody else should have been praised rather than myself;
(b) Feeling that the critisism did not actually, or at least, looked deeper to understand my (for example) action or decision.

I find praise difficult to accept because this is known in the Chinese community that praise oftens goes to the brain and defeats the purpose and your subconscious will allow your ego to override you ambitions.
Yet criticism is easier to accept in a harsh way because its from the words off a wise man that you ''learn from your mistakes'' and those that listen and learn from them will become wise and pass on this knowledge once it is called upon.

When its someone I hardly know there criticism hurts a little and there praise means nothing but if its someone I know well there criticism cuts deep and I always think there praise is misguided because they care for me and cant really be honest.......I'm just messed up!

I have low self esteem so I'd have to say praise, but obviously it depends on the person. If your the sort who never thinks your wrong about anything then criticism would be the answer ;o)

Praise.
I guess I am just too used to people being on the attack, it's been like this for me all my life. I've always had to deal with folks giving me crap for being: "Too ugly, fat, smelly, poor, smart, quiet, shy, nice, blah...." and so on. Seems like all people ever do is find reasons to reject me.
While I've NEVER EVER had anyone like me *unconditionally* with no strings attached, ever. Never mind getting a fair first chance at *love*, whatever that is, *lol*. ;)
So yeah, praise is an issue. Just looking at things at face value, and just saying "Thank you", instead of what I really feel, that was a learned skill on my part.
Hope this helps. :)

I get very embarrased when i'm praised, although deep down I like it and I dont mind a little constructive criticism now and again, but I dont like sarcasm.

Learnt to accept praise. criticism is fine if it is constructive and makes me think about the specific situation, but random acts do irritate me, even though I know they shouldn't.
