I'm sure I've driven several of the people I've fired to drink. Some people really hate me.

No, I don't have a license. But I thoroughly approve of those who do not drink taking responsibility for the car keys so that those who are wanting to celebrate some can do so without having to cause the rest of us trouble getting home.

But I can't help thinking that's not what you meant. I certainly hope you are just kidding, because there's no fun appropriate in the expression "drive him to drink," in the other sense of the term. If you don't like a guy, explain why and walk away. Don't torture him! If you do, why should you want to torture him? The Dark Goddess role is not what it's cracked up to be: be rather the light in his life, so he doesn't even need a drink.

Of course, one could argue that if he's worth that kind of devotion, he would not be driven to drink by a woman's torture. He'd cause her to regret her attitude and tame her (or just walk away, sober). Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor in "Taming of the Shrew" is a perfect example.

Yes, many times. When I was the designated driver and we were going to a bar, I drove them to drink.

I held out on my bf once for so long that he started to drink. When we made up, he quit. Lol.
