But where would you place the poles? Only the North and South Poles have the property that you cannot get any more north or south once you are there.

Have you not heard of the west pole expedition of 1982, they were last heard of in 1984 somewhere in the wilds of East Anglia.

The only problem is that, if they're in the ocean, ships will smack into them, and you'll get yelled-at.
If they're on land, someone will either put graffitti all over them, the birds will poop onthem as they roost, or someone will steal them and you'll find them for sale on Ebay. And you'll still get yelled-at.

no because then gravity would be messes up and we wouldnt orbit the sun the same and stuff.
and anyway you can "build" poles
