Two of the basic ways are to purchase a product from a Auto Parts store that is a decal/wax/bumper sticker remover, and/or, use WD40. You most likely will have to let it set in/soak for awhile. Some detailers use steam and a tar remover, but any way you do it, there will be some damage to the paint, as tree sap will damage the clear coat surface. Your best bet is to take it to a detailer and let them clean and wax the vehicle. It will cost more but the job will be done correctly and a whole lot less work on your part.

If it's been on there 2 years, the paint is already damaged. Take it to a body shop and get it fixed.

Try car polish. It has a little bit more grit than paste wax does.
