watching the faces of people I have just made a personal gift for..eg..painting..they are shocked at first, thinking in this world as most do..that you dont get nothing for nothing...true too in a way, I dont expect nor want monetary value...I am rich in knowing I have put positive happy energy into someones day...
My favourite item was a song I wrote for the Chinese people to give them hope for a democratic country without more bloodshed...It is still played today, twice a year...so my simple pleasures would be to make others hopeful and happy, if just for a little while.......thankyou for the question.

Clean sheets, a tomato just picked from the vine, the first raindrops after a long dry spell, a sunset, sunrise or rainbow, a baby's smile, when one of my students grasps the concept I am trying to teach him, when my teenage and grown sons and daughter hug me and say, " I love you, Mom:" these are all favorites of mine.
